Due out Fall, 2012 - "Pas de Deux"

Picture
Cover Image: "Pas de Deux" by Naomi Bradford
"Pas de Deux" (LP)  is in the works and is due out Fall, 2012 (the recording sessions are going well but have slowed because of gig activity - not a bad problem!).  This collection of 12 tunes (and growing) will have a stylistic focus in the Americana/Roots genre, with additional instrumentation including stand-up bass, piano and coronet...

It will feature my arrangements of traditional tunes such as Stephen Foster's "Hard Times Come Again No More" and "Molly Do Ya Love Me", as well as "Blow Ye Gentle Wind" and "I'll Roll in My Sweet Baby's Arms", but the majority of the album will feature original tunes - "Pas de Deux", "Red Velvet Cake Boogie", "Straight and Narrow" Pickin' the Blues" (samples below + featured on the Hokum Rock Blueberry Farm website), "Nace" based upon a poem by Pablo Neruda, "Ain't Goin' to the Zoo", "Shroud of Time", "The Gift"...   Also in the midst of writing some new tunes for it - "Mystical House of Beauty", "Last Call Wallace Hartley" ...this may end up being a double CD release!
Pas de Deux will be available in CD or Download Card formats...
